Bromsgrove's Liberal Democrats have elected Hagley consultant neurologist and campaigner Dr David Nicholl to succeed outgoing chair of the party Josh Robinson. Josh, who was elected County Councillor for Bromsgrove Central taking the seat from the Conservatives in May, has served as chair for nearly two years and has seen the party grow its support locally.

A group of green fingered Lickey End residents were so fed up with the environmental damage caused by Himalayan Balsam in their community they decided to take matters into their own hands. Gathering together on the first Sunday of October, a group of 20 residents cleared a long stretch of the brook at Lickey End Recreation Ground, shifting 85 large garden bags full of weeds between them.
Worcestershire County Council has come under yet more pressure to rethink changes to the A38 after a second group of residents staged a protest over the weekend. The action in Lickey End followed protests in Central Bromsgrove last month over plans to install a 'monster bridge' connecting the two sections of Old Station Road.
Lib Dem councillors Rob Hunter and Josh Robinson are inviting residents to join them in protesting against the Conservatives' plans to increase traffic on Birmingham Road by adding an extra lane, whilst removing the right hand turn into School Lane.
